Welder at VDL Bus & Coach

The function:

Working on the most beautiful electric buses such as the new generation VDL Citea in Valkenswaard? This is your chance! VDL Bus & Coach is looking for a welder who wants to be challenged every day and will work on our electric public transport buses that are equipped with the latest technological innovations.

These will be your work!

• Reading the work instructions and welding connection drawings (WPS);
• Setting up the machines;
• Applying the correct (auxiliary) tools;
• Consult with the team leader about the approach to the work;
• Manipulating workpieces and applying welds;
• Welding connections with welding machines;
• Putting away products using tools;
• Checking the dimensions with appropriate measuring tools;
• Visually check the appearance of the welds and adjust the tools and machine if necessary;
• Keeping the workplace and machines clean;
• Updating welding points;

You will of course do all this according to the correct guidelines, such as:

• Compliance with quality, occupational health and safety, environment and safety requirements;
• Correct use of resources and hand and measuring tools;
• Responsible for carrying out the work in accordance with the 5S discipline;
• Following the welding

WE ASK:

In this position you will be challenged every day by new technical issues. It is therefore important that you have technical insight, perseverance and a willingness to learn. In addition, we would like you to work independently, but also to ask for the knowledge and skills of your colleagues when necessary.

We further ask:

• Naturally you have various welding certificates at MIG/MAG level 2
• You have good manual
• You can read drawing
• You have an excellent command of the Dutch
